That word count thingie
Hee! Right up in my top 10 words are "Sam" and "Frodo". (I'm sure you are all shocked by that.)
But at this point, "Sam" leads "Frodo" 1178 to 1056. (That many times? Damn, that can't be right!)
*wanders off to ponder this imbalance*
"Oh, Frodo, oh, yesss, Frodo, aaaah, Frodooooo!"
That should help.

See, there's your problem. Frodoooooo doesn't count as an instance of Frodo. The problem is not that Sam doesn't cry out Frodo's name, it's that Sam's a screamer.
Bwahahaha!
*dutifully adjusts forthcoming fic to acknowledge this fact*

Ever agreeable Sam
Dulely noted.
Stupid Spellcheck.
Of course, that's how Frodo's name should be pronounced.

Mmm, yes, what were we talking about again?
Re: Dulely noted.
I suspect that the one syllable name has a certain advantage during moments of stress, and that the " Oh, Sam!" rolls off the tongue so much faster than "Oh, Frodo!" since the brain may be in a state of paralysis by the second syllable.
But in any event, on behalf of the under-represented namee, all together now, shall we?
"Oh, Frodo, Frodo, Frodo, ohhh, yes, just there, oh, HELL YES Frodo!
*looks over shoulder for anachronism police*
*fans you, loosens collar*
I guess the net result is that Sam needs to get more talkative, and Frodo's mouth needs to be otherwise occupied.
Alllllrighty then! Can do!
*huddles over keyboard again*
Re: Dulely noted.
"Oh, Frodo, please don't stop...Frodo, Frodo, FRODO!"
*hides in a corner and wibbles*
Re: Dulely noted.
That's it, let your inner Sam out.
*pictures hobbit version of When Harry Met Sally, but of course with no faking required*
