Happy New Year! and...a new fic

First of all, Happy New Year to one and all, and many, many thanks to all of you for supporting (or perhaps aiding and abetting) me in my brand new hobby this past year. It's not often this *ahem* far along in life that you find that maybe you can do something that you always thought you were pretty pathetic at.
