So I was reading, the other day, The Norton Book of Ghost Stories (my reading habits are extremely eclectic and highly random, so...) and I ran across one story that SERIOUSLY CREEPED ME OUT.
I'm not sure why it was in that book, because I really wouldn't call it a ghost story, but, dude. I never saw THAT ending coming.
It's Three Miles Up by Elizabeth Jane Howard. Her name does sound vaguely familiar, so I'm gonna have to look for more of her stuff.
