Testing this out.

What with the hoo-ha over at LJ, I thought it might just be about time to test this out. Seriously, I'm finding the fact that LJ and Facebook are owned by the same entity, especially given the voracious gleaning of personal info for commercial use by FB, and their seeming intent on connecting you with absolutely anyone you may have ever known in RL, is causing me to find this decidedly alarming. Not so much what is happening now, since as many have pointed out, it could always have been done via cut and paste, but the very real threat that the fire wall between those two sites is becoming more and more porous. After all, FB is where my students hang out. God knows the last thing I want is any one of them making a connection. And all of my entries have been public, and I'd like to keep it that way.

So, long story short, will be copying my last story over here, and future entries as well, most likely. We'll see how it goes.
