Just a quick note...

Just in case you notice I'm not around much, I'm going on vacation tomorrow (Victoria, Vancouver, and Seattle - woot!) and will be computerless for about a week.

*begins to twitch*

Peace out, all.

Coool! Have fun!

[identity profile] elderberrywine.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 04:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh, yeah, I'm certainly hoping "cool" is the key word here...

Some of us haven't been getting much of the old Marine Flow lately. *fans self*

Uck. It's sweatier than ox nuts down here, too. Even with the breeze.

[identity profile] elderberrywine.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 06:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh. Ox nuts. Isn't that that little town next to Ventura?

*channels junior high*

[identity profile] euro-fics.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 07:13 pm (UTC)(link)
No, that's OxNADs.

Heehee!

Hey, cool! I'm headed for Snowmast Village tomorrow! :D We're vacationing at the same time!

Let's hope it's cooler up in the mountains, eh?

[identity profile] elderberrywine.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 04:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee, I just saw yours. For sure on that last one, and have fun too!

[identity profile] birdcordwangler.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 05:26 pm (UTC)(link)
omgwowsocool.

I lived in Vancouver for a time, and whenever I see people visiting there, it makes me go all proud and happy inside. *squees to herself on how amazingly cool Vancouver is* Have tons o' fun, and, if you're into it, eat a lot of sushi(the biggest thing I miss about not being on a coast any longer).

I have been to Seattle a handful of times, and I am quite fond of it there too. I am jealous, to say the least.

I went to Victoria once or twice, and I thought it was pretty. Not as cool as the other two, but really nice. Has that cute town feel to it. And ample seafood.^^

...will be computerless for about a week.

*begins to twitch*

I know the feeling. >.< But I am sure you will be having too much fun to notice the lack of glowing screens and clicking keybaords.

Have a safe trip!

Thanks! Last time I was in V&V was on my honeymoon, a veeeeeery long time ago. Even Seattle, it's been awhile.
Sure is a gorgeous part of the world, though.

*starts to get all bouncy*

It's been in the low 70s here; today is cloudy with a risk of thundershowers, but it doesn't feel warm enough for that and it's a bit early in the summer. Monday it's supposed to be about 80 degrees. Sound good?

[identity profile] elderberrywine.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Sounds like heaven.

*Tosses turtlenecks out of suitcase, throws in flip-flops*

I can't make any promises about Vancouver or Seattle. I remember wandering around in Pasadena in a sleeveless T-shirt while the thin-blooded locals were bundled up to their eyeballs. ;-)

Heh, yeah, we're wusses, but you know, it's the only chance to play winter that we get. And, you know, it rained and everything. That definitely means it's winter!

[identity profile] empressaurelius.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 07:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Have fuuuuuuun!

[identity profile] elderberrywine.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 09:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks! Looked like you just back from having some fun of your own!

[identity profile] empressaurelius.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee, I did!

[identity profile] sierralois.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)

Have a great, great time. I'm sure it will be cooler up there. Such a beautiful part of the country. Have fun with everyone you see and everything you do. Say hello to Mt. Rainier for me. Take care.

[identity profile] elderberrywine.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 11:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you, will do!

Will say hello to several of them as we fly up, I think - Mt. Shasta, Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Rainer! Hmm, who did I leave out?

*starts to squee*

Will definitely check on that other thing when I get back.

*is all mysterious*

Have a great time and bring some hobbit fics back for our delectation! :)

[identity profile] elderberrywine.livejournal.com 2005-08-04 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooh, missed this - must have been gone!

Yes, I did have a wonderful time, and on the latter? You might want to check this Sunday night on the latest HSmut - hee!

[identity profile] frodosweetstuff.livejournal.com 2005-08-06 12:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Hobbitsmut deadline is Sunday?? Eeeep. *takes Monday off for reading* :D

Oh, I did! If you ever have an opportunity, that part of the world is purely gorgeous (and they still have palm trees, too!). Am all envious of my Seattle sister now, but I'll never get my California-born hubby out of his native state, alas.

And so good to hear from you again, my dear!

[identity profile] lyrastar77.livejournal.com 2005-08-06 01:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Aww thanks -- nice to be back in touch! So glad you had a great time. I flew into Seattle first on my ORC trip & found the airport/security stuff a bit grim, but I'm sure the surrounds are much nicer. And palm trees -- ahhh! I was looking at an international weather chart thing & it said the current temp in LA is around the low 70sF, which I found hard to believe -- I thought it would be much hotter this time of year. Is that correct or what?
