Welp, last night was amazing.
It was Pink Martini's 17th appearance at the Hollywood Bowl, (where have the years gone alas) and they were of course amazing. One of the best bits they did was to invite people that spoke whatever language up on the stage with them (seems there was a quick audition backstage) and the result was amazing.
LA is truly one of the most diverse cities on the planet ( outdoing even NYC it seems) so we were treated with glorious songs in *deep breath* English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, German, Arabic, Armenian, Hebrew, Turkish, Swaheli, Cantonese, Japanese, and Egyptian. Might have forgotten one or two.
Full house, so about 17,000? And a perfect night. Good time was had by all.
