Fun fact - one of the kids at my school, two years ago, aced 4 AP classes his senior year. Total 5's all way 'round. No one in his family had ever graduated high school before. He was offered full-on scholarships from both MIT and Cal Tech. Decisions, decisions. (He chose MIT, alas.)

God knows we don't want that type of hoodlum hanging around.

I love what I do, but the 5:00 wake-up call is The Wooooorst.

I was awake at 5:30 this morning so I feel your pain. It's not my natural sleep pattern and I couldn't do it every day

If I wasn't such a night owl. 11:00? Hey the night's just getting started.

It's so brutal to switch over from summer vacation mode.

I had to look that up. And I found this eloquent quote:

I have tried to come up with something intelligent to say. I can't.

Luckily, in my experience, the gang members are far and few to be found. And the absolutely incredible kids are thick on the ground.

These are the kids who will end up curing cancer, getting us to Mars, surmounting any impossible thing you can imagine. Because they are motivated in ways native-born kids aren't.

We are all losers if we lose these kids.
